TRANSPORTATION
We provide pick up and drop off at Genting jetty or Tioman Airport in Tekek. It is our preference for you to arrive at the Genting, Tioman ferry jetty, as that is the closest ferry port to Bagus Place. Please book the ferry from Mersing or Tanjong Gemok to Tioman in advance especially during the weekends, Public Holidays and Peak Season.
We will pick you up at the Genting jetty or Tekek Airport and take you by speedboat to Bagus Place (ride time approx 15 minutes).
One of the signature offerings of Bagus Place is its remoteness in unspoiled nature. Therefore, the only way to reach it is via boat. Unfortunately, we cannot control the choppiness of the waters on any given day and advise guests to take this into consideration in making their travel plans.
There is a safe parking lot close to the the ferry terminal that is manned by security staff. However, it’s in demand so you need to arrive quite early to secure a spot. We believe the car park charges are RM12 per day.
We have a boat to pick you up from nearby destinations on the island, provided you give us ample advance notice so that we can coordinate.
PAYMENT
Yes, we accept Visa or MasterCard for payments. Kindly also bring some cash (MYR) for additional expenses incurred during your stay (bar & restaurant bills and boat trips).

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME TO BAGUS PLACE?
Bagus Place Retreat is a nature retreat, where we try to limit impacts to the environment, by limiting the use of plastic consumable products. We hope our Guests could bring along their essential toiletries for use.
Just a friendly reminder to bring:
• Suncream, sunhat
• Mosquito/insect repellent (we don’t have a big mosquito problem but just in case)
• Plastic shoes for walking on the beach
• Toothbrush and toothpaste
• Your favorite body gel & shampoo
Outside food and drinks are not allowed. Corkage charge per bottle applies.
On Tioman Island it is difficult to purchase items normally found at a pharmacy, including medications. Please bring any and all medicines that you might need with you.
It is difficult to purchase these items on Tioman Island, and we kindly request that you bring them with you to avoid any frustration.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
A barefoot experience in an exquisite location, delicious local Malaysian cuisine, wine and cocktails, enjoyable company, new experiences, hot weather, the possibility of rain or a power-cut, insects, a friendly visit from a monkey in your chalet!
Waiters in crisp white suits looking after your every whim, nightlife, shopping, fast food like you get at home, FAST WiFi, a swimming pool!
If you inform us in advance of your dietary needs and concerns, we will make every effort to be able to meet those needs. Unfortunately, if you do not let us know in advance any special requirements you may have, we may not be able to accommodate you as purchasing special dietary supplies on Tioman Island can be very difficult and we may to source from the mainland.
In rare instances if you talk to the staff on site, you may be lucky enough to find someone willing to babysit your children while you are at Bagus Place, but as a small resort, we do not have a roster of trusted babysitters to offer you.
We consider anyone who is coming with you as a guest of Bagus Place and treat them as such. All guests are charged the same all-inclusive rate and treated to the same services.
Our resort is truly a natural gem. Our entertainment is to enjoy and participate in the beauty on display. In addition, we have an open air bar for evening drinks and conversations as well as a room equipped with various games for adults and children alike. A host of outdoor activities are listed in the Activities section.
We have trained and attentive staff who will do everything they can to ensure that you enjoy your stay at Bagus Place, but we respectfully request that you watch your own children when they are swimming and know your own limits when it comes to swimming and snorkelling.

***We will endeavour to take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of our guests on outings however all activities are undertaken at guests own risk. Bagus Place cannot be held responsible for any accidents, damage to personal property or delays whilst on an outing. Availability of activities dependent on the schedule of our boat, weather & tide conditions and can be withdrawn up to moment of departure if there is any risk of bad weather at sea. Please note that while there can be blue skies at Bagus Place this does not mean that there will be good weather everywhere on the island!
